About the artwork
The Giant Kahuna, with its 6,7 gigapixels, is one of the largest digital artworks ever created. To give you an idea of its magnitude, Beeple’s Everydays (one massive jpg collating together 5,000 of his works which famously sold for $69 Million) is 15 times smaller in size.
My digital art has always been on the bigger size and full of suggestive glitchy details. With The Giant Kahuna I took it to the next level. On one side, this is my most handcrafted artwork. Its details were curated almost to the pixel and took an entire week to complete. On the other hand, this is also my most extensive collaboration with artificial intelligence. I used state-of-the-art AI to magnify and enhance the details, pushing them to breathtaking depths whose exploration was an endless shamanic journey that kept me busy for a while.
The details of the Giant Kahuna are incredibly rich, often possessing stand-alone aesthetic flair and evocative power. After a very lengthy and thorough process, I framed around 2000 and then selected 999 of them as Visions of the Giant Kahuna, which along with the big boy form a 1000 pieces NFT collection, with each piece manually branded, numbered, and minted, specifying the portion of The Giant Kahuna it displays (0.2% on average).
What I brought back from this long journey inside The Giant Kahuna is not only a very unique NFT collection, but also art that can heal our divided world…
Its cultural value
By summoning the Giant Kahuna I am trying to awaken a unifying spirit in this world, which I believe lives already in many of us but overall is weak, and dangerously so.
The Giant Kahuna is meant to support the launch of my non-violent cultural revolution from below, one that can push our digital age in a liberal and humanist direction, free of totalitarian chains. I have an unconventional tool and a path for it. Learn more about it here.
