Overview of Barabeke's NFT art & collections
A brief guide to Barabeke's cryptoart, showcasing the most representative NFTs, providing reasons why it's worth collecting.
While I have been active as a digital artist since 2006, I only started to attract interest and recognition when I joined the NFT space at a very early stage, back in 2019.
I am an artist rising from crypto, a very unconventional one, representing a new culture for this digital age. My goals are 1) to keep having the time and freedom to manifest 2) to emerge as an artist while remaining faithful to my culture 3) to have an influence and inspire the coming times.
In this post, I give a quick overview of my art, all available as NFT and conceived as such. You will find:
Prime art. My most representative artworks, generally minted as 1/1 edition with a price starting from 1 ETH.
NFT collections. Art series composed of 1/1 editions, priced between 0.045 and 0.1 ETH.
Special NFTs. Multiple edition one-off NFTs, typically with a cultural theme.
Reasons to collect Barabeke’s art and why you can expect it to rise in value.
To experience my art as a whole, in 3D, I invite you to visit Barabeke’s Art Sanctuary on Spatial, accessible from any device including VR. Here is a video preview of my virtual sanctuary.
Prime art
Here are some of my most representative artworks so far.
Animated GIFs
I have recently started to adopt hi-res infinite loop square animated gifs as the standard format for my prime digital artworks. Here are three of them, in lower resolution.

Static digital artworks

As you may have noticed, Leonardo Da Vinci is a recurring presence in my artworks. I have transfigured most of his paintings, collected in virtual exhibition called Barabeke’s Leonardo which features them all. I have also written an article about Mona Lisa’s identity, my most popular so far.
NFT Collections
The most affordable option to own my art is my NFT collections, all composed of unique pieces that can only have one owner.
50 Shades of Rainbow
My “political collection”, the one that can get me disinvited anywhere 🙂
Learn more about 50 Shades of Rainbow or head directly to the NFT collection to “educate yourself” about all the colors and their names…
The Journey Within
A collection of visions found inside my art, using AI to magnify, enhance, denoise, and sharpen its glitchy details, down to a surface that is billion of times smaller than the original artwork!
The first visions belong to The Future Historian (the first animated gif above).
Visions of the Giant Kahuna
The Giant Kahuna is my biggest artwork so far, actually one of the biggest ever created digitally (a 6.7 gigapixel image). Inside it there are 1000 visions, the first 150 of which have been branded, numbered, and minted, specifying the portion of The Giant Kahuna that each displays (0.2% on average).
The Pepeful Eight
My take on Pepe the Frog meme. Eight digital artworks entirely made of Pepe, multiplied thousands of times, savagely deformed and blended on itself, until new Pepes each holding a microcosm of suggestive details emerged.
Special NFTs
Sometimes I create special one-off NFTs which tend to address cultural themes. Here are three of them.
Official 2kTenCom NFT
This is the special NFT that I care more about, available in an edition of 1000. Collecting it is a very direct way of supporting my mission of cultural transformation.
While the Official 2kTenCom NFT is still available, all those who collect my NFTs (of equal or above value) or help me in other ways with their acts of goodwill will receive an edition.

The Skeleton Underneath all this Show of Personality
This special NFT (whose name comes from a poem by Jack Kerouac) contains a real spreadsheet from a PR agency showing how much they charged to get their clients featured or mentioned by various news outlets…
I used this as starting point for my critique of media, written in 2021: “Why today’s media are a threat to freedom & mental health and how to fix them”.
What is love?
Back in 2021, in the early days of AI-generated images, I asked AI to visually answer the question “What is love?”, obtaining ten images which I animated as a sequence and framed in a rather profane fashion… The QR code leads to the 2kTenCom.
What is Love? comes in an edition of 20, on the Tezos blockchain.

Reasons to collect Barabeke’s art
Supporting my mission of cultural transformation would be, in my wishes, a good reason to support me as an artist. But that’s not why people generally collect art. First of all, they need to like the art and the artist (I hope this post/showcase will help in this sense). If they also believe in the potential for the art to rise in value, that can be decisive. Let me address this point.
Collecting my NFTs is not for those who want to make a quick profit. My art is unlikely to rise in value in the short term, but in the mid-long term there are at least seven reasons to be optimistic about my potential:
Vehicle of a new humanist and liberal tradition. That’s my main artistic act, one that I will keep cultivating for the rest of my life. If I manage to earn more visibility, my Odd Gospel can aspire to have some cultural influence and a community can rise around it.
Unique. There’s only one Barabeke. I am not aware of other artists, not just today but in history, who tried to do something similar to what I am doing. My digital art also has a recognizable style, obtained through techniques that are at least in part original, developed in 17 years of activity.
Anti-woke. When pretty much everyone in the art world conformed or bowed to the woke cult, not only I didn’t do it but I frontally attacked the ideology and its crimes and made fun of it. Obviously, this didn’t bring me much luck. I became a pariah. But when insanity will be over (it will) my firm opposition to today will be a medal on my chest.
Thought-provoking. If I had the means and the connections, I would be able to create installations that touch the nerves of society and attract media attention. That’s something you can expect to see from me in the future.
Media friendly. Media people tend to find me an interesting and eccentric character. Since I trashed woke ideology I don’t get invited anymore to speak or have interviews, but the wind will change.
NFT pioneer. I have been among the first artists minting art on Ethereum back in early 2019. Being an OG doesn’t get you much recognition today, but it might in the future. The fact that I embraced NFTs before it was hype should also reassure that I am in for the long run.
Serving the community. My biggest flaw so far has been to hardly reach out to people or try to help them. I have been self-centered and hermitic. This has now changed, I became more open and giving through these two initiatives:
Community service. My intuitive consultation, offered to people with a no-fee/free crypto offering policy.
Non-Fungible Souls. A live broadcasting show I am going to host soon, through the Bitcoinlive platform. In each episode, I will interview a protagonist of the NFT revolution with a more personal and introspective approach than what you are used to.
I don’t illude myself that my star as an artist can easily rise, a lot is working against me right now including the crypto crash. But NFTs are here to stay and reach mass adoption (like it happened with the internet and smartphones) and considering those seven points above it’s reasonable to think that my art can at least increase in value - although not in the short run.
Links to Barabeke’s NFTs
My NFTs can be found on multiple platforms and blockchains, reason being that I have been into NFTs since the early days, I cared about supporting the movement, exploring different chains, and learning.
Here is a complete list of where my NFTs can be found:
KnownOrigin (ETH). Currently used for my prime 1/1 NFT art. Home of The Giant Kahuna, The Future Historian, and the Madmoiselle Mu series.
OpenSea (ETH/Others). The place for my NFT collections. Here you will find Fifty Shades of Rainbow, The Journey Within, the Visions of the Giant Kahuna, and the Pepeful Eight series.
Rarible (ETH/Others). I used this a lot between 2020 and 2021, both to mint and collect NFTs. Home of the Official 2kTenCom NFT.
makersplace (ETH/$). Mainstream NFT marketplace that allows collecting via credit card. Some of my best transfigurations of Da Vinci’s works are minted here.
teia.art (XTZ). Most affordable option to own one of my NFTs, in multiple editions, on the Tezos blockchain.
SignArt (WAVES/SIGN). Home of my Fountain of Grace.
mybae (WETH/BAEPAY/DAI/TRSH/NRMN). An indie NFT marketplace, one of the first in the scene. Home of Eros & Thanatos.
Dartroom (ALGO). Only one artwork on the ALGO blockchain, but it’s the Venusian Leonardo.
NFT Showroom (HIVE). Only 3 works here, affordable editions.
Thanks for your attention, I hope you’d like to support me and my mission of cultural transformation. I necessarily have to rise from below, through the help of people, as for those above and the rainbow guards I am persona non grata (even if, while eccentric and thought-provoking, I am ultimately a moderate).
It’s beyond me why people are bowing to an insane cult that is grooming, sexualizing, and mutilating children. I can’t condone that, I think they are guilty of crimes against humanity based on ludicrous and ultra-biased theories and that they are making life a valley of tears much more than it is supposed to be. They are devastating a generation, mentally and also physically, and given their strong illiberal inclinations they are posing a vital threat to the free world.
Please empower me and help me have an influence. Not only to contribute to breaking the hypnosis of the new oppressors but also to inspire a culture that is humanist, liberal, grounded in tradition but inclusive and forward-looking: the type of culture we need to stay free and dignified in this century and beyond.
Blessings,
Barabeke
