Overview of Barabeke's NFT art & collections
A brief guide to Barabeke's cryptoart, showcasing the most representative NFTs, providing reasons why it's worth collecting.
While I have been active as a digital artist since 2006, I only started to attract interest and recognition when I joined the NFT space at a very early stage, back in 2019.
I am an artist rising from crypto, a very unconventional one, representing a new culture for this digital age. My goals are 1) to keep having the time and freedom to manifest 2) to emerge as an artist while remaining faithful to my culture 3) to have an influence and inspire the coming times.
While I am best known as a visual artist, I expect to be remembered for my writings, in particular Return to Eden or the 2kTenCom, which aim to inspire a new culture that can keep us free and dignified in this digital age.
In this post, I give a quick overview of my visual art, all available as NFT and conceived as such. You will find:
Prime art. My most representative artworks, generally minted as 1/1 edition.
NFT collections. Art series composed of 1/1 editions.
Special NFTs. Multiple edition one-off NFTs, typically with a cultural theme.
Reasons to collect Barabeke’s art and why you can expect it to rise in value.
To experience my art as a whole, in 3D, I invite you to visit Barabeke’s Art Sanctuary on Spatial, accessible from any device including VR. Here is a video preview of my virtual sanctuary.
Prime art
Here are some of my most representative artworks so far.
AI art
In 2023, I have embraced generative art with Mona Lisa Reloaded, my most ambitious series, in which I am trying to revive the beauty, mystery, and power of Da Vinci’s art with the aid of AI.
All my new art, for the foreseeable future, will be portraits of my Monas.
Animated GIFs
Between 2022 and 2023 my digital art often came in the format of infinite loop square animated gifs. Here are three of them, in lower resolution.

Static digital artworks

As you may have noticed, Leonardo Da Vinci is a recurring presence in my artworks. I have transfigured most of his paintings, collected in virtual exhibition called Barabeke’s Leonardo which features them all. I have also written an article about Mona Lisa’s identity, my most popular so far. Finally, with Mona Lisa Reloaded, I have tried to give new life to the beauty, mystery, and power of Da Vinci’s paintings with the aid of AI.
NFT Collections
The most affordable option to own my art is my NFT collections, all composed of unique pieces that can only have one owner.
My prime collections today are those that belong to the Mona Lisa Reloaded series. Previously, I have released the following collections.
50 Shades of Rainbow
My “political collection”, the one that can get me disinvited anywhere 🙂
Learn more about 50 Shades of Rainbow or head directly to the NFT collection to “educate yourself” about all the colors and their names…
The Journey Within
A collection of visions found inside my art, using AI to magnify, enhance, denoise, and sharpen its glitchy details, down to a surface that is billion of times smaller than the original artwork!
The first visions belong to The Future Historian (the first animated gif above).
Visions of the Giant Kahuna
The Giant Kahuna is my biggest artwork so far, actually one of the biggest ever created digitally (a 6.7 gigapixel image). Inside it there are 1000 visions, the first 150 of which have been branded, numbered, and minted, specifying the portion of The Giant Kahuna that each displays (0.2% on average).
The Pepeful Eight
My take on Pepe the Frog meme. Eight digital artworks entirely made of Pepe, multiplied thousands of times, savagely deformed and blended on itself, until new Pepes each holding a microcosm of suggestive details emerged.
Special NFTs
Sometimes I create special one-off NFTs which tend to address cultural themes. Here are three of them.
Official 2kTenCom NFT
This is the special NFT that I care more about, available in an edition of 1000. Collecting it is a very direct way of supporting my mission of cultural transformation.
While the Official 2kTenCom NFT is still available, all those who collect my NFTs (of equal or above value) or help me in other ways with their acts of goodwill will receive an edition.

Neo Genesis NFT
The cosmological foundation of the 2kTenCom. Released right before launching my first generative series Mona Lisa Reloaded.

The Skeleton Underneath all this Show of Personality
This special NFT (whose name comes from a poem by Jack Kerouac) contains a real spreadsheet from a PR agency showing how much they charged to get their clients featured or mentioned by various news outlets…
I used this as starting point for my critique of media, written in 2021: “Why today’s media are a threat to freedom & mental health and how to fix them”.
Links to Barabeke’s NFTs
My NFTs can be found on multiple platforms and blockchains, reason being that I have been into NFTs since the early days, I cared about supporting the movement, exploring different chains, and learning.
Here is a complete list of where my NFTs can be found:
KnownOrigin (ETH). Currently used for my prime 1/1 NFT art. Home of The Giant Kahuna, The Future Historian, and the Madmoiselle Mu series.
OpenSea (ETH/Others). The place for my NFT collections. Here you will find The Dark Monas, Madonnas Ex Machina (both part of Mona Lisa Reloaded series), Fifty Shades of Rainbow, The Journey Within, the Visions of the Giant Kahuna, and the Pepeful Eight series.
Rarible (ETH/Others). I used this a lot between 2020 and 2021, both to mint and collect NFTs. Home of the Official 2kTenCom NFT.
makersplace (ETH/$). Mainstream NFT marketplace that allows collecting via credit card. Some of my best transfigurations of Da Vinci’s works are minted here.
Campfire (AVAX). Here you’ll find my Eros & Thanatos collection, an AI art series bearing the "genes" of artists such as Klimt, Munch, and Fouquet.
Kreate (ADA). Home of my Men & Women collection (art deco aesthetics with a futuristic flair) and of my Sacred Digital Art collection (with my AI generated Dark Madonnas).
objkt.com (XTZ). Most affordable option to own one of my NFTs, in multiple editions, on the Tezos blockchain. Home of the Beauty, Mystery, & Power collection, part of the Mona Lisa Reloaded series.
SignArt (WAVES/SIGN). Home of my Fountain of Grace.
mybae (WETH/BAEPAY/DAI/TRSH/NRMN). An indie NFT marketplace, one of the first in the scene. Home of Eros & Thanatos (the artwork not the collection).
Dartroom (ALGO). Only one artwork on the ALGO blockchain, but it’s the Venusian Leonardo.
NFT Showroom (HIVE). Only 3 works here, affordable editions.
Blessed be those who will support my work.
